Valentina Gindri

Valentina Ceolin Gindri is a Brazilian/Italian writer and journalist currently based in Porto Alegre, Brazil. Her short stories have been published in anthologies and magazines.

 

As an undergraduate, she studied Journalism at the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul (UFRGS), spending a semester abroad at the University of Tübingen (TÜ), Germany, and also studied Creative Writing at Pontifícia Universidade Católica do Rio Grande do Sul (PUCRS). 

 

She holds an M.Phil in Creative Writing from Trinity College Dublin (TCD), completed with the support of the Haddad Fellowship.

 

Valentina was longlisted for the 2024/25 Galley Beggar Press Prize, the Four Faced Liar Prize,  The Masters Review Summer Short Story Award for New Writers, and the Bath Flash Fiction Award February 2026. She was also a finalist of the IWR Alumni Award. She is currently seeking representation for her debut collection.
